Music and Worship

Music and Worship

Worship at Applewood is God-focused, God-honoring, celebrative, and uplifting. Our desire is to assist in leading our congregation in worship to our Lord. The orchestra and praise band strive to enhance worship and encourage instrumentalists to use their gift to glorify God.

Opportunities for service:

Celebration Choir (All Singers)

Rehearsal every Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

If you are interested in knowing more about the choir, please join us for a rehearsal. Childcare is provided and no audition is required. The Celebration Choir leads worship every Sunday in the 11:00 AM worship service.

Praise Orchestra/Praise Band (All Instrumentalists)

Rehearsal every Wednesdays at 7:30 PM

The orchestra and band are open to high school and older. If you are interested in knowing more about the orchestra, please contact the Music Office. The Praise Orchestra plays on selected Sundays in our 11:00 AM worship service as an accompaniment to the congregational singing and accompanies the choir on special music and for special presentations. This group is open to players who have at least 2 years experience on their instrument. The music we play is at least a grade level 2-4 so it can be somewhat challenging. There is NO audition required!! The Praise Band accompanies the choir and praise team and joins with the orchestra on their Sundays.

Media Team

There are sound operators, visual media operators, lighting operators, camera operators, recording and broadcasting system operators, and all these are required for every worship service! If you have experience or are interested in training for one or more of these critical areas, please contact Cheryl Rollow for more information.
