Compassionate Connections

Applewood Compassionate Connections Mission Statement:

Our mission seeks to share the love of Jesus through
providing the opportunity for members who are unable to
regularly attend church, remain involved in church through
visits, fellowship and the administering of the Lord's Supper.

Why have a HomeBound ministry?

  • To provide an arm of the church to minister to the spiritual needs of our HomeBound members.
  • To add quality and meaning to the life of the HomeBound by giving love and encouragement.
  • To minister to the personal needs of our HomeBound members.

Ways to help:

  • Call the HomeBound member or caregiver periodically between visits.
  • A call to the caregiver just to talk or encourage is a great way to show concern.
  • Visit once a month to one of our homebound members.
  • Send cards on special occasions as a reminder that someone cares.
  • Provide transportation for those who may need a ride to the doctor.
  • Provide for time away for the caregiver.

To help with this ministry, to learn more about this ministry of if you would like the church to be aware of someone who might benefit from a visit, you can call the Church Office at 303.232.9575 or contact Faith Ward or Pastor Ralph Gray.

We believe that Counseling is an important part of walking life’s journey together. Whether pre-marital, divorce recovery, grief, cancer, or caregiving, we know that life holds some valleys that we need help through.
